WHO WE ARE

ALC Co-founded and has run Funder Hui since its formation in 2020. Funder Hui is Hawaiʻi's first philanthropy-serving organization (PSO).

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Built a membership and network of over 200 philathropic leaders and institutions in Hawaiʻi including DAF holders, Foundations, Non-profits, and high-networth individuals

  • Led branding, program design, and facilitated its 10 member Advisory board

  • Grew staff time allocation to 3 part time staff

  • Established 4 active working groups of funders funding in a certain sector to learn, collaborate, and grow their impact

    • Food & Farmers, Education, Housing, and Capacity Building Working Groups.

  • Designed, authored and published an Annual report

METRICS

  • Hosted over 100 zoom and in-person learning circles, workshops, events since 2020

  • Led the sector in COVID and Maui Fires Response with 1000+ attendees to our breifing calls

  • Working with 200+ Hawaiʻi funders and nonprofit leaders on centering equity and relationships within grantmaking.

  • Grew our newsletter following to over 600 subscribers, including Hawaiʻi funders, nonprofit professionals, and more.

  • Raised over $750,000 towards our mission through grants and memership cultivation
